Pool is up

Need to add the concrete pavers and level them.

Question:
Once the pool is done, can i fill it up with water when I still don't have the SWG unit installed? it will take few days to complete, should i wait with the water?

Wow... I can't wait to put mine up... I would hold off on adding water... Wait till everything arrives and you can set it all up at once...

Is that pool sitting right under power lines? You can not have that pool there!!! If that line would fall for some unforeseen reason or freak of nature type deal, it could electrocute anyone in or around the pool.

Those powerlines are not directly over the pool. It's an optical illusion. The poles are right at the fenceline, so the closest one overhangs the yard maybe two feet. That's about the depth of those planters.

Question:

I got a 1 1/4 pipes for my hard plumbing, i see people here using 1 1/2. can i still use my 1 1/4 pipes? or should i get the 1 1/2 ones?
I have no intention of upgrading my pump/pool in the foreseeable future.

In general,the bigger the pipes, the more efficient the plumbing. That's certainly no reason to change it.

Do you know which part at home depot i need to get in order to connect the Intex valve to the PVC pipe? (1 1/4)

Take the part with you to home depot and make sure it fits...

I just ordered a 2 inch pvc elbow to screw directly onto my intex connections... Threaded one side, slip on the other....

Them won't work Intex has their own stupid thread size....go to Lowes and go to the electric aisle and look for the electric PVC adapters....they work it is what I used.......Mike

Also get rid of those Intex plunger valves they are way too restrictive put PVC ball valves instead

The Intex threads are a straight 50mm thread, not a tapered thread like 2" pipe thread. Slightly different pitch (threads per inch). Similar to a 2" fire hydrant thread here in the U.S., but not quite.

This link shows you how, but these are for 1 1/2" PVC. Not sure what your options are for 1 1/4". Might want to rethink that one

(P.S. Don't tell anybody, but my Intex valves work just fine ;-) )
