Pre-filters aren't really needed, except in some extreme conditions.

I'd go vertical on the cell installation. Flow switch on the up side, cell on the downside.

Thanks sounds good. I got too many kids tossing sand and rocks into the pool. It's one of the situation where pre filters do shine. Obviously they won't really help with all the pollen, etc

Maybe teach the kids that the pool is off limits if they don't behave? And it doesn't matter who is doing it, they all bear the brunt of the results.

Ok everything is setup and running now. Still trying to balance the pool/salt level for the generator to actually start producing chlorine. And obviously my test kit got lost in the mail, which is annoying.

RJ-60+ keeps telling me maintenance required and the current salt level is around 2000pm. I can see some preexisting buildup on the cell, so might need to contact service to figure out what's up with this or if I got send a used cell.

Turn it off until you get your test kit and confirm the salt level. Nice job on the install.
