Newbie in TX

Quick update. The pool has been hovering at the following:

FC 7.0 with minimal chlorine added each evening per pool math app.
CC 0.0
PH 7.5
CY 50 (not surprising)
CH 400
Pool owner stress 0.0

I've been losing about 0.5-2.0 FC each day depending on the amount of sun and oak tree droppings. No swimmers yet. The water is crystal clear.

I can't thank this forum enough for the help.

Very nice! If your fill water is hard you will have to watch your csi when the ch gets higher, many people manage their pools with very high ch.

Use the pucks on vacations or to boost your cya, you will lose around 3-5 ppm a month of cya and 50 is a good number for Texas.

Welcome to knowing exactly what you are doing to your pool!

Just a quick update since my first post 3 months ago. All is good and I can't say enough about the people on this forum. My wife thinks I'm now a pool dork, but I can live with that.
