Hey y'all! I've been reading this forum since we decided to get a pool (about 2 months) & ave already learned a lot. Our free-form 31x16 w/ grotto/waterfall, & tanning ledge chlorine pool was just completed & finished filling last night. I have so much to learn but am eager to! They turned the pumps on today, made sure the grotto/waterfall was functioning, checked the lights, added the first round of chemicals & first brushing. It appears they used the "acid start-up method" which already has me paranoid due to the harshness on the new plaster but no turning back now. I've already ordered the Taylor K-2006C kit so I'll be able to test all water parameters. I've read the Pool School & ABC's. It's all a bit overwhelming but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. I'm a Firefighter & a paramedic so I have a good grasp on the pool hydraulics & PH levels from my job.
