Hello everyone, I was a little surprised when I signed up for this site. I didn't expect the question about whether I am "In the industry" or not. I bought my current home about 18 years ago. And it had an in ground pool. None of my cousins or aunts/uncles or close friends ever had an in ground pool, so I had to learn it all myself. Now after all this time of keeping my ears open and my mouth shut, I feel somewhat qualified (in a limited sort of way). I will be searching the forum soon for my first dilemma. Hopefully I can find the answers I need, but I will appreciatively listen to any suggestions you may make. (And if I should change my status to "Not in the Industry", just let me know.)

Are you ITI ? It's relevant if you're helping and reccomending products you may have a stake in. If you're here as Greg in the industry...... the homeowner, then not so much. Or you're not in the industry and it's irrelevant.
Post up in any appropriate sub forum. Some of us play all over the place but others stick to their specialty areas and you want the best eyes on whatever issue you have.

If you make your living servicing pools, selling pool equipment or chemicals, or building pools, then you are in the Industry..
I would assume you do none of those things, so your are NOT in the Industry.
We only ask because we do not allow anyone In the Industry to sell things here on TFP.
