We have had a FG pool for several years and have trouble keeping chemicals balanced. Thought we would try this method this year. Hope it works. I am trying to learn as much as I can.

Biggest "don't make my mistakes" advice I can give you is get yourself a proper test kit right away. I don't admit it often but I tried TFP with a 6-way Taylor kit and it went far better than before but I still had problems. I haven't had a single problem since getting the TF-100 because I can see the problems coming before the water even starts to lose its shimmer. It is an investment and trying to do TFP with test strips will end up costing more than getting the right kit right away.
