Hi all! We are undergoing a backyard renovation that includes redoing the pool coping and tiles. I wanted to see if I can get some advice on tile. We are not redoing the existing pebble.
I’m trying to make the pool as modern as possible.
The lady I met with at NPT suggested that I pick a vibrant glass tile for just the spa front and then whatever I pick for the waterline I can use on the adjacent walls next to the spa. Is that a good idea, or should the glass tile that I pick also be used on the adjacent walls?
Including a picture of the pool before Reno so you can see the color of the water. Would love some opinions on tile choices. It’s so much tougher since our pool is a free-form pool and we don’t have even one straight edge.

Here is a picture of the current state. We’ve already had the coping redone and the stones and tiles remove. As you can see we are adding a deck behind the spa area.
I’ve also included a picture of the glass tile I really like. Struggling with waterline tile.

If the glass tile will be anywhere it will get wet such as a splash zone or water line, it will be a maintenance item due to your hard water. Managing your pool water chemistry very closely will be very important.

Some do.
I always say, when new, it will be beautiful. A few years from now, well, maybe not.

I recently had my pool remodeled and I used glass tile for the spa and waterline. I am very adamant about scrubbing my tiles a few times a week and they look great! But they are only about 3 months old. Fingers crossed!! I love the look of glass tile tho so I don’t regret it one bit

Here’s another tile I was thinking about. I love that it’s a different shape (picket style) and I love the marble veining. What if I install something like this for the entire thing? Waterline plus above the waterline?

Is that tile rates for pools? Make sure the tile is meant to be used in a pool and not just inside the house!
