Hi Everyone,
I've had multiple pools in my lifetime.... Above ground chlorine pool growing up, and three different inground pools in my adult life. Been through two inground pool "re-installs" (not just the liner - but complete replacement in an area of NJ where we have marl clay soil.... just a mess!)
My pool experience for the past 23 years has been with Baquacil. I was a master... never went to the pool store and alway had awesome water. The pool store even asked me how I did it. (Funny!)
But it is expensive and hard to find these days.
So I just had our pool completely rebuilt last fall. New everything, and this time I went with a salt water chorine generator. Also this is my first heated pool - so I'm very excited - and first time with a variable speed pump and hayward automation. Now I need to reeducate myself on chlorine chemistry and the nuances of this new system. This is what led me to this forum. Very glad to be here and so far I've found exactly what I needed. Looking forward to spending some time on the site!!
