Hi TFP community! I am in the process of doing an owner-builder pool in Napa CA, leaning on the design and guidance from DIY Pools. This is my first pool (at age 58!) and hopefully the fun hangout for family in the future. Thank you in advance for the great guidance posted in the forums - I've been reading up on what others have shared and hope to pay it forward as I learn as well. My planned pool will be about 12x29 gunite, with Hayward pumps and heater, a SWG, a modest waterfall feature and an auto-cover. I do not have a construction background, but I have a reasonable amount of DIY skills and great appreciation for the skilled trades. (i.e., I will not be doing any of the actual construction -- just managing the project and finding the right subs). I hope to finalize the building permit application this week & get this project underway!
