Hello. I found this forum when searching the net for a good resource for pool care and maintenance, and have already learned a boot bit just by browsing and reading. This site seems like an invaluable resource!
We moved from North Dakota to Florida over the summer, after way too many years of freezing and dealing with snow. One of our necessities when looking for a house in SW Florida was an in-ground pool, and we will be closing on the house toward the end of December. I have so many questions and so much to learn! We have never had a pool or a hot tub, and soon we will have both. Ultimately I want to fix/repair everything I can on my own, as I am very handy, and also want to do all my own maintenance/upkeep.
Our home inspection revealed some issues with the pool equipment that we will address sooner than later. I'm wondering if this is a good place to share pics and ask for suggestions, or if I should maybe post in a different area like the pumps/filters/plumbing forum, and just use this as an intro.
Included is a pic of what I will be dealing with.
