I can tell you .....

Passing all 3 SLAM criteria (OCLT, 0.5 or less CC, and clear water), it's time to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Let the FC fall to the normal range as noted on the FC/CYA Levels then turn on your SWG so it can maintain that idea range value. Once the FC is back to normal, you can test the pH and/or any other chemicals you need.

Should I measure CYA, TA, Ca and pH and adjust to proper levels

Yes. CYA needs to come up to 70. Hang some on a sock and undershoot to work up to target. You have plenty of time so if it takes a week or two it’s better to get it right than to overshoot.

Your PH will be valid again once you are under 10 FC. It probably rose with your TA on the higher side. Use MA to lower the PH and let it drift back up before lowering again. Each cycle should lower the TA by about 10. Once the TA is under 110, it should find its happy place all on its own as you keep PH in range.

The calcium is fine but is on the higher side so just keep an eye on it and make sure not to add anything with more calcium in it.

connect back the SWG, and let the FC level naturally come down now or in the evening?

Leave the SWG off until you are in range or it will keep the FC slightly elevated. I preferred mine slightly elevated as I could have any event possible and only drift back into ‘in range’ with plenty FC to spare. I highly recommend this for anyone learning as a safety net. It works so well many of us kept it that way after we became one with our pools. I no longer need the help that the extra FC provides, but I sure do still appreciate it.

Alas, the weather Gods were not on our side and it rained and was chilly yesterday so we couldn't use the pool. The new plan is for tomorrow The pool remains crystal clear, but every morning and evening I have to skim for a good 20 minutes because of all the trees around. I think about Sisyphus, and how he must be happy! hahaha

I did a test of all the metrics last night, and this is what I have:

pH: 7.8
TA: 140
Ca: 450
CYA: 30
Salt: 2400
FC: 8.5

The pool company I had used left 3 bottles of liquid stabilizer. The pool math app said to add 3 gallons but I've added 2 and will add the remaining after testing again. I've also added 60 kg salt (all that I had). Will test everything tonight, and then get salt and CYA if needed.

I know the TA is higher than recommended but multiple threads suggest leaving it alone as it is only useful if I'm looking to change pH.

If that's the case, should I be doing anything else.
