New to the foum but not pools! Have some serious staining going on. Water is balanced. Chlorine doesn't help and I've tried absorbic acid and that doesn't seem to help. Any ideas of what kind of stains these are and how to get rid of them? Really trying to avoid draining the pool but that will be my last resort giving it an acid wash.

Is the pool painted? It looks like the pressure from the in floor cleaning system has worn away the finish.

What could it be?
We have a three year old gunite pool with a floor system. At three of the jets in the deep end, we're getting dark stains. Two of the floor jets point directly at the main drain, while the other is supposed to rotate. Our water here is hard and has metals, but it's odd that the stains only...

Is this your pool or a clients? Curious if there is any water testing history available. Looks rough for only 4 years. Perhaps some of what we are seeing (perhaps organic) is encapsulated under calcium scale?
