Proud new owner of a 28k gal swamp! Found this site shopping for a good test kit. So glad I did - I picked up a kit from TFtestkit and am off to a good start. First try I made the full adjustment "pH up" from 6.8 - now am over 8.5. 
Will be doing smaller adds for big changes from now on - I should know better. Once the pH is in the ballpark, I intend to do a shock treatment and run the Dolphin cleaner to clear out the algae. Anyway, great to be here, I look forward to learning from you all!
