Just bought a Dolphin S200. The Polaris P280 just doesn't function well unless the water temperature is pretty warm.
When folks change to robot, do they just abandon the old Polaris pump? Cut it out and cap off the piping?
I'm thinking of trying to sell the pump as it works very well and is in good condition.

I use my old Polaris outlet as a return now. Just put an eyeball fitting on it. Take the pump out of the loop. Input to booster just routes to return. Easy retrofit if your Polaris uses the flexible piping.

When I switched, I detached my old pressure-side cleaner from the wall and pulled it out of the pool, but I left everything at the equipment pad alone -- partly so I could revert to the old cleaner if the new one had problems, but also because I didn't think anyone would even want my noisy old 1500VA pump now that quiet new 1000 and 1200VA pumps are available.

Might want to leave it in your system for now, so you can demo it to prospective buyers and prove that it works well.

Disconnect the pipe to the suction side and the pipe from the output side of the booster pump. If it is hard PVC then you have to do a little plumbing work to connect those pipes. If you have flexible hose then just get the right fitting to connect them. Sell your booster pump.
