New pump and old mechanical timer

Hey guys I installed my new vs pump (Calimar 1.5hp) into my old set up. Because it does its own control and scheduling I left my mechanical intermatic timer “on” full time. I forgot that the chlorinator runs off that time. What is a simple and low cost way to control the salt chlorinator and run power to my pump?
If Bypass the timer on the pump is the only way then any suggestions how schematically?

NC,

Put the wires from the pump on the line (input) side of the timer. Put the wires from SWCG on the Load (output) side of the timer.

This will send constant AC to the pump and only send the AC to the SWCG when the timer is on.

Obviously, you need to set the timer to run inside the normal time the pump is scheduled to run.

Not necessarily. I have the same setup and the timer just turns the SWG on for a short length of time while the pump runs 24x7. Can also do that with automation but I generally don’t have to adjust the timer all that much during the season.
