Sorry, I think I posted this in the wrong forum last night..hopefully this is the right spot -
So like the title says, my new pool has a PCC2000 ICS. I've had a lot of distractions this summer that have kept me from being as on top of things as I would have liked. When we went through the process, on of the PBs sold us on an ICS, it sounded great, and I always hated those little robot things (I'm sure they're great, its just a personal thing - every time I'm in a pool with one of them, I get attacked!) any way, we ended up not going with that PB because we weren't happy with his over all design, but asked the PB we did go with to include an ICS. While I should have, I didn't do any research on equipment - these guys build pools for a living, they have a great reputation, several people referred me, when it came to equipment, I just trusted their judgement. The pooled turned out great, we're finally at the filling phase and have pool school and start up tomorrow morning. Today I thought I would look over the equipment and at least familiarize myself with what each thing was called so I'd have a little bit of knowledge going into tomorrow. As I'm looking things over, I'm wondering where the debris collector is. I look up the paramount site and see that there are either DDC's which are in the deck, or EDC's which are equipment side - I have neither of these. I looked up the owners manual for the PCC2000 and it says "your system MAY have come with an optional EDC or DDC" and it goes through instructions about emptying it. Is it really optional though? Without that, where is all the debris going to end up? Is it common not to have one of those with this system? Just trying to have all of this straight in my head before I give the guys the third degree tomorrow when they come.
