New Pool Start-up

Hi I just got my new pool filled today and added stabilizer, borates and got chlorine up to shock level. Here are my results.
FC-9.0
PH-7.6
TA-80
CH-60
CYA- O- added stabilizer per pool math will recheck later on
Borates- added borax and acid will recheck in 48hrs

How is everything looking so far and when will it be good to swim? Thank you guys so much!

Welcome to TFP... A Great resource for all just filled pool owners..

Keep in mind that pH is good when between 7.2 and 7.8... I would not add acid as long as your are between those two points. There is no point trying to keep pH in the middle of the range.

Looking good and you can swim anytime you like...

Ok how long do I need to leave FC at slam level? I raised it to 9 last night and it was 6.5 this morning. Results this morning....

Borates- 80 but it hasn't been 48hrs since I added yet &#55357;&#56883;
CYA- still not able to read but socks still have stabilizer in them

If this is a new fill I'm not sure why you are SLAMing... Do you have algae?

If not, let the FC drop and if concerned you can run an OCLT to ensure nothing is in your water... Overnight Chlorine Loss Test

That was what I was doing the OCLT it dropped from 9 to 6.5 I'm going to try it again tonight and see how it does. Does everything else look ok?

Did you test after sunset and then before sunrise? If not with no CYA your numbers could be off.

Yes just did the second trial and chlorine is holding now that cya is 35 &#55357;&#56833;
