We have gone back and forth about the stadium steps. We love them and we don’t plan on doing laps. It’s more of a hangout pool. We were more concerned with the shallow area it eats up. Thank you for your input!E,
Nothing to do with your proposal, but I don't like your stairs..
If you ever plan to do 'laps' in the pool, you only have one end..
I suggest that you add smaller stairs next to your sun-deck so that you can do laps.
And you also might think about going with a sports pool, so that you can do things like volleyball. Deep in the middle and shallow at both ends.
Thanks,
Jim R.
My reasons for the shallow is because I am 5’0” and not getting any taller (and will probably get shorter as I age). I can’t comfortably sip a cocktail standing in 4’ pool. This will be my probably forever home. I want to build this pool for me and not for the occasional guest. I understand that for most adults, this is a bit shallow.3.5' is a bit too shallow. I'd suggest 4' for the shallow end.
6' is an awkward depth since it's too deep to stand, but too shallow for diving, etc. I'd suggest 5' for the "deep" part of your pool.
