I recently purchased a 16x48 Intex ultra frame pool with side skimmer pump, while getting the site ready and level I reviewed using a Intex sand filter and Intex saltwater system which I have purchased.
Now that I have set up the pool, have all the pumps, filters and gadgets to my surprise the pool has only one hole for the side skimmer discharge. I had also purchased a side skimmer not knowing or should I say realizing this pool had one.
So, my question is and thought process is to keep the initial side skimmer running and add the sand filter and saltwater system to the pool, do I need to install valve plungers for the intake and discharge lines, will I easily be able to cut into the side of the pool and install these and do I need to add any type of reinforcement around the hole openings.
Thanks for any input or thoughts on this.
