Hi all,

Thanks to everyone that provides advice and guidance here. It’s nice to have a place to go with pool help.

I purchased a home with an 18,000 gal pebble pool. I have these odd orange/rust colored stains that seem to appear out of nowhere. They all have a kidney bean shape which leads me to believe it’s something organic.
I shocked the pool with liquid chlorine and attempted to brush them, to no avail. Thoughts?36051CE3-AE57-4FC3-92C5-A548536DDA2C.jpeg31593A5F-2D4A-45D4-BDB4-7B56F93F2A3E.jpeg

Try to rub a Vitamin C tablet on them. If they are in the deep end, place some in a thin sock and put it on the end of a rod and rub it on the stain. I suspect they may be iron spots. Let us know.
Tried some tablets, unfortunately no results. I saw a tool online to put muriatic acid directly on the stain. Is this something to try?
