Hello!
Facing threats of divorce from my wife, I've setup an above ground pool two weeks ago (Intex 15"x48') with a SWG and Glassfilter with a 2800g/h pump (all from Intex).
So far so good, we have a very nice and clear water, everything seems to run perfectly (10h of pump run time a day and 6hours of CL generation time from SWG)
But I won't overlook water chemistry just because the water is clear.
Unfortunately it's very hard to get good tests kit here in Switzerland. I'll try to get a TF-100 through shipito to Switzerland, I don't know if it will be delivered or not.
Testing with 3 different test strips, I still have a pretty high Ph (7.8-8) that I slowly lower with HCl. TA is also a little high (150-200). CYA looks good (between 50 and 80).
But those test strips still says I don't have Chlorine in a high enough concentration =) (well, they stay white in fact, so less than 0.5)
So I'll post about real test values once I've been able to get my hand on a decent test kit.
(My wife being chemistry laboratory assistant, we're trying to figure out if she can make all the required tests by herself
)
Happy pool season!
