We’ve been moved in two weeks and pool is clear. Got my test kit and FC is 1.5, CC is 0, cya is 0, pH is 8.2, TA is 80, salt level is between 3000-4000. I bought some stabilizer and have 4 lbs soaking in water now. Is that all I should add? Or should I add some oxidizing shock? Previous owner left a few bags.

Welcome!

Or should I add some oxidizing shock?
I would not use that. Right now, get at least 5ppm of liquid chlorine in the pool to get your chlorine up. If you have one of the recommended test kits, that's a great start! Now download the Pool Math app to track your testing. There is an "effects of adding" section which will tell you how much chlorine to add that will equal 5ppm. Your chlorine is super low and is inviting an algae outbreak if you let it stay that low.

What's in the bags? Depending on what it is, it might be OK. Can you take a photo of the ingredients/contents?

What is your CH? I don't see that listed in your results you posted.

Can you please fill out your signature? See this link for info: Create Your Signature - Further Reading This will give us information on your pool size, your pool surface, etc.

You do want to bring your pH down, into the 7's - so I'd add enough muriatic acid to bring it down to 7.6 or so.

Yeah, that's nothing that you want in your pool.

I would do this:

- Lower pH (already done with MA addition - test after 30 minutes of mixing to see if it dropped as expected)

- Get some more CYA dissolving - it's easy to add more and you can't remove without exchanging water, so assume you have 10-20ppm already in the pool and add another 20ppm. This should bring you up to the 30-40ppm range. You can check it after 2-3 days (it can take that long to show on the test). Get the granulated stabilizer/conditioner/CYA and put it in an old sock, and suspend it away from the wall in front of your return jet. Squeeze every now and then to help it dissolve. It might take an hour to fully dissolve or a day or two.

- Get more chlorine in the pool - target 30ppm on the FC/CYA Levels. You can do this while the CYA is dissolving and assume it's 30ppm to start (and you can adjust later if the test shows more).

Does the pool show any visible algae (dead or alive) or cloudiness? Or does it look nice and crystal clear? :)

It has remained crystal clear since we moved in!

I would make sure you are getting information for a saltwater pool. Your chlorine readings are referencing what your chlorinator Aka saltwater generator should be producing. To raise your chlorine levels I turn up the percentage of chlorination on settings, not put any chlorine into pool!

Pools don't really care where chlorine comes from, SWCG or Liquid Chlorine (or pucks or cal-hypo). In a SWCG pool, it is typical to add liquid chlorine to raise your FC to target levels, as SWCG are very good at maintaining FC, but not so good at raising FC. With FC as low as the OP has, it would be wise to raise FC quickly with Liquid Chlorine.

After putting the recommended amount of bleach in the pool, my FC is 10.5 😳, CC is 0, CYA is up to 20 (still trying to dissolve some stabilizer), pH is 7.8. That chlorine level seems high.
