New pool owner and cya is high, not sure of Leslie’s advice

No worries. it gets easier, we promise !!

The Page with the targets and ranges will update when you LOG test results (click the + at the bottom, click LOG TEST RESULTS) and works like a dashboard. If you click on those ranges/targets, it will give you recommendations on what you need to do to get into the ranges etc (but don't worry about that yet!!)

The Effects of Adding page is like an instant 'What If?' calculator. Does the math for you :)

So, 3/4 of a bottle of 10% LC will do your 5ppm until your good test kit arrives...

You were almost there. After you enter some number of ounces and change the bleach percent to the liquid chlorine you have...you see the "Effects" below, your keypad will disappear and your results will be listed in PPM change under the heading "Effects."

Ok I see I just needed to play with it to find my answer.
I know this is probably a rookie question but does liquid chlorine need to be added everyday? How long until you can swim? We normally like to get in everyday during the summer.

Pretty much - the average algae free pool uses 2-5ppm worth of fc per day depending upon the season/conditions. So long as you never allow fc to broach minimum for your cya before the next dose you can add it whenever you wish (daily/every other day etc.)

I wait until I am done pouring lol.
You should add liquid chlorine slowly in a pencil sized stream infront of a running return, away from the wall, brushing the area so it doesn’t rest on the surface.
