New Pool - New Pool Owner in North Texas

Some vacuums have a problem getting over the higher, round main drain covers.

Kim:kim:

Yes, please get the flat channel main drain Kim referenced earlier. Look at the pool cleaner threads for all the cases where robots get stuck on the round drain covers. You have the chance to eliminate that issue up front. It is only one drain but is fully compliant with the Virginia Graeme Baker Act due to its design.

Locate an electric outlet close by for your Dolphin since your equipment is far away.

Welcome to the forum!

I do not see a SWCG on your equipment list so you plan to add liquid chlorine daily?

If so, as the pool is fairly large, you will need to find a good source for the chlorine nearby as you will be using quite a bit of it in the summer.

Take care

After the build I will be adding a Stenner Pump and timer to regulate and adjust the flow of liquid chlorine into the pool. Probably a few jugs of bleach on standby if they are needed!

Oh and don't forget a light over the equipment pad. You will thank me the first time you have to go out there at dark time!

HOA requires it, so it’s in there. Plus I have a second flood light right in that area too.

Well, just two months later and we are digging. Permits and engineering (on the patio structure) took quite a while, but here we are. Today is dig day!

Here are a couple of before shots:
