For virtually the same price, would you recommend I go with an all Jandy or all Hayward package for a brand new pool?!

Notes:
1. I’ve never owned a pool
2. I’m pretty DIY savvy and prefer that to endless service calls. I actually chose Z-Wave instead of Control-4 for smart home because I don’t want to call someone everytime I change a light switch or automation
3. GPT “says” Jandy is higher end / more expensive and Hayward is more budget friendly… so maybe that means the pool co with all Hayward is marking up for higher margins?
4. In Dallas, TX. Pool will have Spa and tanning ledge.
5. Also curious if you have any opinions on salt vs. chlorine. We’re a dog family and can’t keep them from trying to chug some pool water.

The Jandy dealer does have some upgrades like 5cm coping and brass skimmer / filter lids compared to the Hayward dealer. Otherwise, the equipment is all comparable with variable speeds, smart controllers, etc.

I realize this is a loaded question and subject to opinions, but I don’t know where to turn for unbiased answers and info!

Thanks to anyone who can help!
