New Pool install Northern NJ "overwhelming & I dont want to screw this up"

How do I navigate this process...does anyone a document that organizes the process i'm a mess

The only thing I know for sure are we want it to be rectangular , salt,with the autocover)
We are still debating pool size (leaning toward 16.5x32-36-38,sundeck & deep end depth

Landscape design (some are 5k some are $1500, some are complementary but if you want a 3d video preview its 1500$

Pool Company quotes (apples to apples??)

Engineering with ( as built etc...)retaining walls

equipment )good, better, best value

Pool finishes hydrazzo finish vs diamond brite etc...

what else are MUST HAVE's on the construction side (ie re barb thickness etc..

What to watch out for so I dont have a huge CHANGE ORDER besides if they hit rock

any help would be super helpful, I know i basically just puked on the page sorry

DUDE we got ya and understand! This is a LOT of money and you want to make sure you get what you paid for! Saying that I am going to invite you to take a stroll over here: Under Construction You will see we have a WHOLE, very active part just for this kind of thing! Please note there is a sticky at the top of that page that talks about some of what you posted.
