New pool in N. Texas

I grew up in a home that had a pool and swore I’d never get one. Well 20yrs later and a 2yr old daughter have changed my mind. Have two builders coming out tomorrow (8/27) for consults. Not wanting anything
fancy just a party size pool 4’-6’-5’ and Maybe a slide??? Also after taking to others I’m considering SWG. Also what does other people in N Tx think about the use of pillers and 1/2” rebar? This soil scares me.

OOh, exciting times ahead! You *want* a SWG. It will take away about 80% of the effort of having a pool. And if you get a good robot cleaner, it will take on the other 19% of the work. Yeah.... you'll have to spend a few minutes a week testing, but hey, it gets you outside for that Vitamin D!

I know a few folks there who have tiny sprinkler systems installed around the pool to maintain the soil consistently. It is something to ask the PBs about.
