Hi Folks,
I have a pool that has several 3 foot waterfalls with 2in pipe. It is pushed by a 3/4 HP pump. The flow is nice, but sure would be nice to crank it up a bit and then also run it lesser from time to time such as the winter. Was thinking of upping it to a 1.5HP pump but then read a thread that mentioned adding a variable speed pump. I welcome your guidance here. Kinda wanna swap out this pump for another quickly while I have the PBs attention.

Much thanks!
Kate

Yes, it will give better flow control. You can use Jandy valves to reduce the flow but it would be better to just lower the rpm and operating cost will be a lot lower at lower rpm.

Kate, I noticed this thread as I was searching for feedback on the Sapphire Treasure Primera product and color from Wet Edge. My wife and I are getting ready to have a PB replaster our pool in Frisco, Texas (over in Starwood) and have picked out the Primera Sapphire Treasure and we are going to Noble Tile to find a corresponding tile to match. Two questions, what water line tile did you go with? Second, would it be possible to see your pool to solidify our choice of color? The Primera seems like a good choice to get the pebble look but with a smooth finish. I would value any and all of your thoughts. Thanks!!! Dennis & Maureen
