We are so very excited. 18 x 36 ‘ concrete pool started. First time pool owners once this is completed. I’m so hung up on plaster colors and what will last our lifetime (if possible). Pool will be in full South Georgia sun so we need something that will stand UV/Smoking hot Temps. PB uses PMM products so if anyone has suggestions I’m open ears. Marquis or the Magic finish? Gravitating toward Midnight blue or Azure. Also anyone with experience with Rico rock? I know theres a thread with pool colors but I cannot locate this brand in all those pages. If theres a way to search for brand/colors please let me know. Thanks!

@kimkats is our Queen of Bling and helps with colors.

You have any pictures of your pool design? Where does the Rico Rock fit in?

You can see prior threads on Rico Rock at ...

Thanks for the response! KitKats if you have any suggestions or thoughts on Azure or Midnight Blue PMM please let me know! Rico rock is already being added into the pool pics I posted, they still have to make it look pretty. I’ll look for design pic to share. These pieces they placed and shot the concrete into the back side. spa and retaining wall will be Rico rock along with half the pool coping. we will also have a 5’ H x 12’W Rico rock waterfall with 2 spillovers on the back side. So basically half the pool from the waterfall around retaining ledge wall to spa will all be Rico rock with Rico rock coping. and from spa around tanning ledge to steps will be finished concrete and have waterline tile. Also going to submerge Rico Rocks in the tanning shelf for sitting and as jump rock. If anyone has suggestions to maintain the Rico rock or anything we should look out for please let me know. thanks!

Progress! Waterline tile installed today I’ll get pics of that tomorrow. Rico rock cemented in and cracks filled. That big boulder flipped up will be a fire bowl. PMM is the brand PB uses but seem open to try another brand. From pics I’ve seen on line I’m leaning toward NPT Quartscapes Tropic Blue touch of glass. Can you add more beads to these finishes? And if so how much to make a difference? Our PB has not done any glass finishes so hoping this style does not required exposure or whatever it is when you have pebble finishes .. we would be their first go and little nervous! They installed a lot of quartz finishes so if we can stick to that with extra “bling” added I’d lean that way. Also what do i need to get going on pool water and testing? We are rural so I’m going to handle that myself. Any advice on how to get going is appreciated!
