I am planning on buying the best corded robot (which I think might be the Dolphin M600), and possibly the Skimmy companion. Before I spend the money, I was wondering if these gadgets really indeed do their job and make manual vacuum and brushing obsolete?

Do they go over things like Baja shelves and steps? How about built in hot tubs, do they climb that wall to go into the tub and clean there?

Or, do folks still need to manually care for their pool once in a while?

thanks in advance

Obsolete, no. Helpful, yes as long as it works.

No or not well.
