Ok, am I missing something here? Went ahead and purchased the 3900 to replace our broken 380, took it out of the box, and neither I nor my husband can unhook the quick connector! It absolutely won’t budge...almost like the pieces were mistakenly welded together. Like I said, we had the 380 for many years, so we’re familiar with the push and turn movement. Has anyone else had this happen? Are we missing something?!?!

You have to push in and twist.
Look at the way the pin fits around the hook circled in red. You need to twist the wrong way, push in to clear the hook and then it follows the groove out.
It can be hard to get the right leverage when reaching over the deck into the water.

Be careful! I sprained my wrist last week trying to get mine reconnected. Yes, the pump was running... stupid.
