I have a new Polaris 380 cleaner. It randomly stops moving and when you manually move the wheels it starts moving again. Then it will work for a while in then randomly the wheels will stop moving again. the can be restarted by moving the wheels. What could be causing this?

In ground pool
Polaris 380 with pump

Have you checked the bearings for excessive play? My 360 was doing as you have described, when I discovered several bearings had failed. Do all of the wheels turn when you manually turn one?

Yes the wheels turn correctly.
It is brand new.
It will run for a few minutes and randomly stop, I can free the wheels up by spinning the wheels and it will start back moving again.

That's really odd. When the Polaris is running, does the bag fully inflate, the tail have a sweeping motion? Check the rpms on the wheels with the unit running under water. You should get 1 revolution about every 2 seconds. Just a shot in the dark - check to see that your backup valve is installed in the right direction. I've seen a few put in backwards and that will make them run strangely.
