Howdy! I just had Pebble Sheen installed about a month ago. The installer had a local maintenance company get the chemicals started and he added a sequestrant which I cannot remember the name of. I had planned on using Jack's Magenta stuff. Is there any reason to not switch over to this? If not, should I start with the initial full dose then go to weekly maintenance doses?

Any sequestrant should work so long as the active ingredient is HEDP. (Hydroxyethylidene diphosphonic Acid)

You only need to add sequestrant at start up. After that there is no need to add more unless you have iron in your water.

He might have used Beautec or Scaltec from McGrayel Easy Care Pool, Spa, and Fountain Treatment Products
