New NPT Stonescapes mini pebble - mysterious sand?

Hi there,
We had our pool plastered with Stonescapes Mini Pebble about 4 months ago. We are getting quite a bit of sand and I have no idea where it is coming from. We do not have a sand filer. Any ideas?
