We live in Franklin, TN and have a 25k PebbleTec kidney pool, no heater, Hayward sand filter running chlorine. The pool was completely resurfaced in the summer of 2022. While we paid for weekly service for the remainder of 2022, we moved to bi-weekly for this entire 2023 year, with me brushing and also checking levels on the off-weeks. Now, we have cancelled service for the winter, and I will keep it "open". BUT I just went out yesterday to find what I assume is yellow mustard. So...that led me to finding this page. I usually use test strips for checking inbetween the pro-service, but I have now bought a Taylor kit...I just don't know how to use it. So now I am here.

Which Taylor kit did you get?
If its the k2006 (recommended) here’s easy to follow instructions as the tests are done the same way

For algae (mustard or regular) the prescription is the
SLAM Process.
Do all your tests one at a time & post your results like this & we’ll get u going
