Hi - New member here. I’ve been a pool owner for about 8 years but never paid too much attention to the different testing methods. Relied on the paper test strips and always assumed if the water was clear, the pool was ok. Last summer, the kids skin would be easily irritated after swimming in the pool for short periods. So decided to ditch the chlorine tabs and invest in a SWG and was recently introduced to this site/forum. I’ve learned so much already and invested in the TF-Pro Salt kit. After an initial testing showed extremely low PH and TA I’ve followed the recommend additions and have gotten the levels back up to the safe zones. Still have a few areas to tweak but I feel that my pool is in a much better place after just a couple weeks this year than all of the past 8 years. Looking forward to learning more!
