Hi all thank you for accepting my membership. Only came across you as I was hunting the internet for answers to what appears to be a common problem with Intex Sand Filter Pump timer board freezing and not allowing operation. Thanks to one of your members a way to bypass the controls on start up have meant I can run my pump once again.
im based in South East Ireland where our daily temps mean above ground pools are not so easy to heat and keep heated.
my set is is this:
Intex above ground 15’ Prism pool
Intex SF70220 sand filter pump using cotton balls instead of sand (hard to get hold of in Ireland).
Intex pool robot
Intex in pool skimmer.
Intex blue bubble wrap solar pool cover.
Bought all my kit inc second hand pool 2 summers ago. Didn’t use it last year as the weather wasn’t great and we had a concrete level pad laid down to site the pool onto. Used the pump last week after erecting the pool and only after using the timer (normally just turn it on and off manually) did the fault occur. Hope to purchase a air heater set up for next year (or this if funds allow). Pool currently at 20c would love 25c!
