Hi everyone,

I'm been following since a long time and decided to create a profile :) Thanks for all the good information you share !

I've got a 75 cubic meter underground pool (approx 20 000 gallons), with a liner, Pentair Triton Neo Clear Pro SM filter (flow 22 m3/h), and Pentair Ultra Flow mono 1.5cv 22m3/h pump.

I'm using liquid bleach (9,6% jugs 20 liters), and sodium bicarbonate (25kg bags), and occasionally all-in-one pucks when on vacation

For measuring, I'm using a OTO drops test kit, an aquarium KH drops test kit, and electronic pH tester

I'd like to upgrade to a FAS-DPD test kit for accuracy and reliability, the problem is that with the REACH regulation in Europe I haven't found where to buy one...

I've been away for 3 weeks on vacation, my pool is green, and I suspect the CYA is to high from the all-in-one pucks used during my absence, but have not way to measure CYA at the moment

I'm planning to convert my pool to a SWG, but at the moment my goal is to find a FAS-DPD test kit in France and start using it

Welcome to TFP,

@jokael from Denmark had been successful with getting a Taylor K2009 via Amazon. That kit doesn't contain TA and CH, which contain hazardous materials which often cause shipping issues.

Looks like you figured out by yourself already, that you can use aquarium kits for TA. You can also use an aquarium kit for CH (just make sure it's for Calcium Hardness, not Total Hardness).

Ouch, that seem HIGH . WE are able to purchase the Taylor 2006C kit for $125.00 US /115.00Euros ( I hope my conversion is correct) and includes shipping from Amazon. Good luck and hopefully another TFP teammate will come along with a less expensive solution.

My pool is in France, but I’m in UK - very frustrating! Anyway, I have just posted the same question, before finding yours! Have you had any luck? Wendy

I finally found a way to get a Taylor K-2006 delivered to France :)

Is it possible to have a good CYA test reading even when the water is stagnant and dark green ?
 
Just take a water sample without reagent and fill it into the viewing tube. If you can clearly see the dot, then the cloudiness of the water doesn't interfere with the CYA test. In the worst case you overestimate your CYA by a little, which is not the end of the world.

Sounds like you are up for a SLAM.
