I’m fuming right now. Had the heat pump added on Monday. Noticed today the filter pressure is at 26 psi on max 3400 RPM and the pump is struggling to prime and get all air out. I have new unicel filters installed last month. For my own sanity, I took filter apart and cartridges were clean. No bypass.
Any ideas what might be happening? Is this even normal? Too many 90 degree turns?

26 PSI at 3400 RPM is probably your new normal with the heat pump.

Heat pumps add a lot of restriction to the plumbing.

A few 90s make no difference.

You should have installed a Heater Bypass - Further Reading with the heat pump

What was your normal PSI before the heat pump?
