You mentioned earlier that this is something not covered under warranty? Were you saying this item specifically doesn't have a warranty period, or were you meaning something else?Warranty claim with Jandy and hopefully they will help you out.
Also notify SCP and see what they can tell you.
If you put 240 on it while it was set to 115, then that would be your fault and not covered. You mentioned earlier that this is something not covered under warranty?
Ok, just wanted to get clarification. I assumed that's what you meant. That would of course void the warranty. Thanks for all the help. I had a feeling the transformer or something was fried before I posted on here, but I wanted to know how to determine that for sure.If you put 240 on it while it was set to 115, then that would be your fault and not covered.
Since you say that you did not do that, they will probably trust you and cover it under warranty.
You think they will just send me a transformer and not a new pib board?View attachment 634007

Low Voltage PC Board Mount, 0.5 VA to 24 VA (160-161 Series)
Hammond's 160-161 series low voltage PCB mount power transformers have a vertical mount, split bobbin design and require no electrostatic shield due to low primary to secondary coupling. Choose from 5 to 120VAC output and .5 to 24VA sizes.www.hammfg.com
The PIB board with the melted MOV and bubbled areas is junk now.You think they will just send me a transformer and not a new pib board?
No, you need the whole board. You think they will just send me a transformer and not a new pib board?
I removed it from the system so I could have any info I needed for a warranty claim tomorrow. No, you need the whole board.
Too much damage to too many parts.
I was just posting so you could check the windings to see if they are damaged as well because that can help identify the cause of the problem.
Usually, you have to disconnect the windings from the load, but these leads are soldered, so the resistance tests might not work.
Still worth doing.
In any case, hopefully, Jandy and/or SCP will make it right and give you a whole new system.
Probably fastest to return it to SCP and get a new one if they will do that.I removed it from the system so I could have any info I needed for a warranty claim tomorrow.
162h24 is the codeTest resistance in ohms from 1 to 2 and from 3 to 4.
On the opposite side you also have 4 pins, test resistance (Ohms) from 5 to 6 and from 7 to 8.
I am pretty sure that the transformer part number is 160H24, can you confirm this?
The part number is partly shown but part is blocked by the zip tie.
