New In Ground Pool - NJ, Closing Time - have some questions

This did the trick. It was however just an app display issue. I could see the schedule working correctly if I looked at the panel display. I could see the chlorinator being turned on and off, it was just not reflecting in the app. Now it all works as it should and reflects in the app.

I built a new set of stairs for the other side of my deck

Things are finally getting back to normal, got some minimal landscaping in. Now its just a matter of tidying up odds and ends.

Well the season flew by and its time to close the pool up. I purchased a safety cover, one that lets water flow through into the pool.
I am having the pool company close the pool this year as part of the initial purchase, but just had some general questions.
  1. For the Omnilogic, should I just shut the breaker off that supplies power to it for the winter to shut everything down?
  2. Do they remove any water from the pool before they close?
  3. Should I backwash one more time or leave it till the Spring?
  4. In regards to closing the spa, they said they will remove all the jets and plug them with rubber plugs, the drains dont come off so i assume they pump air into the drains and then close off the valve at the pump? So does this mean the pipes just have a bunch of air in them now so the water in the spa cant flow back into the pipes? Am I thinking about this correctly?
  5. Should I have them add any antifreeze to the spa?
  6. I assume all the lights just stay in the pool?
  7. When the electricians put the pipe in they said that it is a wet system and that water will always be in the pipes, how does this not freeze and crack the electrical pipes then?
