I'm starting the process of meeting with builders in Fort Worth to build a pool at my new House. My first pool had already been installed at a house I bought in 2011 but circumstances forced me to move. My primary desires are a great jumping board and length for laps. I'll likely get the spa as well.
Anyone in DFW that has advise on builders- I'm all ears. I think PM is the rule w 'names'

PS- Thanks for your help learning how to run that first pool. This website was very helpful.

Welcome Adam...

My PB Collie was awesome so send me a message if you want his info. Great guy who does excellent work on schedule at a very attractive price point.

As you are probably well aware of diving boards are an insurance nightmare so use caution...

Adam. don't listen to the naysayers!! Get a deep pool and a diving board!!! I feel a true diving board and true deep diving well are a lot safer than those folks who don't have them and everyone is always trying to dive off the sides into non-diving pools anyway. Less hassle is to have an obvious diving area, IMO.

Lord knows I miss not being able to dive <sniff! sniff!> And not all insurance agencies will have a problem as long as you're well covered. When we put out pool in USAA didn't even ask us about a diving board. Shop around. Umbrella policies are smart with or without a diving board.

I'll enjoy watching the build. Send in lots of pics please!!

The diving board is happening. No worries. I still have Farmers as i had at the last house and the diving board was a nonissue. I emailed them to confirm its still a non issue with the current home and umbrella I carry with them and can adjust with them or I will find another company to commit to it before i sign a contract to build.
The builder i met with yesterday is recomending the interfab (that's who they use) baja base with 8 Ft board as their most 'springy' option. Trying to confirm with interfab which base/board combo is their bounciest.

Just sent you a PM
