It was a tight fit where the inlets were and having to use a new T connector to the pump... Now here's hoping that it doesn't become a water works show when I do turn everything on!!

Question: have lots of aeration and air in the lines. I would assume that is normal for having the pool closed for 2 years...

Can I do anything about that?

A few minutes... Turned it off for a minute or two then back on.

I just checked your pics. I can't tell if your filter has an air-release valve. It is just a little turn-knobby-thing. If so, open it up until the air escapes the filter. If not, let the filter run for a while and see if the bubbles settle down.

I currently have it set to recirculate... Just to get water moving around. Should I move it to filter?

I just also saw the video. Because it is intermittent, I THINK it is just air in the lines. Do the above and let us know.

That is an air-release valve for future reference. I always do mine whenever I clean the pump basket or think there might be any air in the filter.

Nothing significant happened...

I checked the O-ring on the pump basket and it appears to be in good condition, good seal on the lid when I turned the pump off...

Because I am on pins and needles, I will continue. The filter works best when there is no air in it. By opening the valve, you release the air. When you open it, leave it open until only water spews out.

Just water came out?

Turned it to filter... Then started it back up, opened air release valve and water came spewing out. It is currently filtering...

I do have to halt all operations for the evening as it is now dark and the pool shed has no light in it.

I will do some reading tonight. I took tomorrow off, not with the priority of working on the pool, but if I have a chance I'll look into things a little more.

Updated:
I will have to look more closely at the O-rings on the lid and I'll look for the drain plugs... I did not physically take the O-ring off or relubricate it at all.

I use pool-lube on all my o-rings at opening. Pump, filter, returns. It's a good place to start.
