Bear with me folks, my thoughts are going to be all over the place. Firstly thank you as always for taking the time to read this post!
I purchased a new home and this it the pool equipment it came with. I was told the pump was acting up when the pool was opened a few weeks ago. Suggestion was to buy a new pump and switch to a sand filter. I picked up a Hayward 24' sand filter with a 1.5hp super pump. Pool guy ghosted me and I had to find a new pool guy to install. Second pool guy ghosted me before he ever came to the house so now I'm done with pool guys and am going to attempt to learn and install myself! Pool is approximately 20-24k gallons, cant see the bottom but I will be using a measuring stick to try and get a better idea of the depth and use one of the calculators in the site to get a better idea of volume.
I have a Raypak 119,000BTU electric heater from my previous AGP that I will be installing if I determine its adequate for the size of this pool.
I guess my first question is, besides for the pump and filter, which I have new ones, how does this setup look?
I have read and watched several videos on how to cut and fit pipe for the various equipment, is there anything you would add to the setup while switching equipment?
From what i can see, i have two returns from the deep end, one at the bottom of the pool and one skimmer? and one at the shallow end? they go to my pump-filter-nature in-ground sanitizer vessel??? (do I need this thing)-to the heater-back to the pool?
In picture 1 and 2 I see plumbing from the ground to the Polaris booster pump to the plumbing right after the SWG, what's its function and where is it getting its water supply from?
Thank you again.
