New Hot Tub Owner with very little startup instructions

Hello, thank you for this forum. I should have researched before getting the new hot tub, but I mistakenly thought the dealer would set it up for us and get us started. Instead, I was told to fill it up, add some of this and some of that, and in the excitement of finally getting it delivered, I didn't really understand it all. So after that, and being frustrated, not knowing what I was doing, started research on the internet and there is so much out there! The manual isn't a lot of help, it says to contact your dealer on the chemicals. It is almost an hour drive to take water to have it tested. I probably do need to find the best way to test too. We have had the hot tub almost 3 months and it is time to change the water, but I was wanting to wait until later in the month, but might not be able to. I have a couple different kinds of test strips, not knowing what to get, and one tests for CYA, which according to that is way too high (don't remember the #'s at the moment), but after researching, I see that by adding the dichlor as I have, that is what caused it. I have now been adding bleach for the past week, but it's probably too late. The water is cloudy too and the last MPS shock didn't do anything for that. I'm thinking maybe just drain partially and refill until after our company leaves and do a complete refill? I'm hoping I will know more what I'm doing with the next fill, and hope to have help as I have time to read on this site.
