Test results today:

FC 6.5
pH 8.2+
TA 110
CH 225
CYA 50 (almost 60, but had to go with 50)

Given that my pH went back up, I'm going to add some more acid and try to get the TA down with aeration. Will also add the rest of my cyanuric acid which should put me at target. FC stayed steady, so I'm killing the output to the SWG for a day or so and will then go back with the 20% output to the SWG.

Not sure from your words above when or how much so can't comment on it but you are doing the right thing to keep pH in the 7's. Also a good idea to lower your TA to better suit an SWG.

My bet is your water is clear, right?

Yes, the water is clear.

pH was 8.2 on 11/27 so I added a little over 2 cups of muriatic acid. I didn't retest pH until 12/5 and the pH was 7.8. Re-tested pH on 12/14 and it was back to 8.2. TA came down from 120 to 110 over that time period.

As I understand it I need to keep adding acid and let the pH drift up through aeration to get the TA down. Toward that end I added 3 cups of muriatic acid on 12/14.

You made me curious so I just ran Cl and pH. Cl was off-scale (5+) and pH was 7.5.
