New here and new to pool ownership

Hi all- just signed a contract for a new pool this weekend! We have a small backyard and are working to make the best use of the space.
we are doing a 29x16.5 rectangular pool with in floor cleaning system (I have read the pros and cons...), pebble sheen, uv system, two variable speed pumps (for ifc and water features) and a fireplace. We dumped the spa due to the price to run a gas line and hope we are making the right decision all around!!

Welcome to TFP! You mentioned the pros & cons about the floor cleaning system, but did you also happen to see the threads here about UV? If not, you should do a quick search. You'll see tons of discussions about UV for outdoor residential pools. Might save you some $$$.

Agreed, I would reconsider the UV. Might have an argument for an indoor pool but you should be able to plenty the old fashioned way.

Howdy Kwest.... hope you'll share the entire build process with us. We've had quite a few Austin pools built here lately.

Agree with TexasSplash about the UV too.... don't you figure Austin gets enough *free* UV from the sun already???
