New Hayward heater leaking already before even using it...

I purchased a pool heater last year and the pool build process has taken forever. I don't even have the gas line to the heater but the water runs through it. There is already a leak. See video. Is this just something loose from when it was shipped or something else?

Nothing in that area should have come loose.

Call your builder and make a warranty claim with Hayward.

That area is where the heat exchanger connects with the header. It should all be bolted solidly together.

Its JUST past the 1 year warranty. Purchased in January but sat in a box so unfortunately the warranty doesn't qaulify.

The spot where it is leaking looks like its the same area as "Water Pressure Switch"

Could it be the water pressure switch????

Could be the WPS. It screws in and could be loose.
