I had to purchase a new Hayward DE4820 filter thanks to my old one finally cracking over this past winter.
I have been running it for a couple of days and did not notice or see any leakage, but now that I finally got to clean and SLAM my pool, I have noticed a very small bit of leakage at the clamp level. My initial thought was that the clamp was not 100% tightened when I set the filter up, which I did so in haste and now regret.
The pressure levels are well below even a backwashing warning. Is it possible that the initial lack of full tightening allowed some DE to get in and around O-ring area inside the unit and now it is not 100% sealed? I can't think of much else that could go wrong with a setup like this.
Thanks!
