We live in Georgia. We have a 20x40 inground freeform shape, inground pool that is 18 years old. We just replaced the ORIGINAL liner this past week and the pool looks brand new all over again.
We have used copper based algaecide, minimal chlorine, and baking soda for alkalinity, and not much else for all of these years.
Our Polaris 380 has been our best friend, almost like a favorite child for all the work it does! We love it.
We have covered the pool with a loop-loc cover for about 6 months out of the year.
Our old liner was so faded, it was almost completely white, but it just kept working so we just kept swimming!

Our new liner is a plastimayd brand where the base vinyl is medium blue so that as it fades over the years, it will only become blue since the base film is blue through and through instead of white with colors printed on it. We hope this much darker liner will also add some heat, but are concerned that the liner may take more sun damage and not live as long as the original one did.

I look forward to learning what is new!
